Our gps tracking system insures that we know where our security officers are at all times. We use a Point to Point Security System where our officers check in at pre-determined access points with interval patrol schedules.
Construction Protective Services is very proud to offer extensive training to our Security Officers.
Training sessions are interactive and cover “what-if” scenarios, quizzes, discussion, powerpoint presentations and professional training videos. All our Officers receive training in chain of command procedures, patrolling, observing, report writing and customer service. We go over hygiene, uniform policies and chain of command.
A special section is dedicated exclusively to our extensive expectations of CPS Officers including proper behavior on the job site, punctuality, and the importance of respectful treatment of the public, contractors, site workers, co-workers, etc.. Considerable time is spent stressing the consequences of such infractions as sleeping on post, abandoning post or using electronic entertainment equipment while on duty. We clearly outline our disciplinary procedures and our termination policy for infractions.
We deliver safety training as well as preventing injury and what to do if injury occurs on site. Sexual harassment training is mandatory for all officers.
Our guards are expected to be punctual and they do not harrass or interfere with other employees in the performance of their jobs.
In addition our Arizona branch is proud to have developed our company-wide on-site mentoring and training program.
On-going training is offered to all our Officers as in-depth 4 hour sessions on the following subjects;
· Observation and Documentation
· Public Relations
· Liability and Legal Aspects
· Communication
· Officer Survival
· Handling Difficult People.
Our certification programs go above and beyond state and federal Security Officer Training requirements. Training material and programs come from recognized professional organizations including The Professional Security Training Network and The California Association of Licensed Security Agencies, Guards and Associates.
Our program meets the requirements of the rigorous 40 hour training mandate in California and has been approved by the California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.
